It was created by Sean Akins and Jason DeMarco and produced by Williams Street, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment. Toonami is credited with pushing the popularity of Japanese anime to new heights for shows such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
