On New Year's Eve 1979, Malcolm plans a special treasure hunt and later a quiz to keep his family and friends entertained. In private, Maddie confides in Sue that Malcolm doesn't want the party to ever end because tomorrow everyone goes home, and he will be left to face their uncertain future alone.
